OC Support Group Meeting – Monday, June 3rd at 6:30 p.m. – with Dr. Jeremiah Tao

We are excited to welcome Dr. Jeremiah Tao to our next Orange County facial paralysis support group meeting, at a special time, on Monday, June 3rd, at 6:30 p.m.

Dr. Tao is an ophthalmologist and oculofacial plastic surgeon at UC Irvine Medical Center, and he will discuss, “Facial Nerve Paralysis and The Eye.”

Many of our group members deal with eye care issues on a daily basis, and this will be an opportunity to gain practical tips to preserve your vision, and to hear about the latest treatment options.

This meeting will take place at the office of Ascend Physical Therapy, 12465 Lewis Street, Suite 101, (in the City View office complex, SW corner) in Garden Grove.  Office #714-703-8477. Free parking is available on-site.

Since this is an evening meeting, we will provide a light meal of sandwiches and chips/sides for attendees at 6:15 p.m., and the lecture will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Jeremiah Tao, MD, FACS is the director of oculofacial plastic and orbital surgery at the Gavin Herbert Eye Institute, University of California, Irvine School of Medicine. He also serves as the program chair for the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

He regularly treats patents with eyelid problems related to facial nerve dysfunction. In 2014, he published a paper describing a surgical technique he developed to improve eyelid closure in facial nerve paralysis.
