Webinar - #SoundOff4AN - Hearing and Acoustic Neuroma
Tuesday, May 07, 2019, 5:00PM - 6:00PM

ALL are invited to attend "#SoundOff4AN - Hearing and Acoustic Neuroma"

Tuesday, May 7, 2019

5:00 pm ET, 4:00 pm CT, 3:00 pm MT, 2:00 pm PT

ANA welcomes Dr. Joseph Montano, Ed.D, Chief of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical Center and Dr. Jorge Gonzalez, AU, Ph.D, Audiology Chief, Emory University Hospital for our ANAwareness week webinar.

One of the first symptoms people tend to notice with acoustic neuroma is a sudden hearing loss on one side. The method chosen to treat the tumor can increase that loss, sometimes to total deafness on the affected side. During this webinar, Dr. Montano and Dr. Gonzalez, both Audiologists, will discuss different aspects of this kind of hearing loss including the handicapping effects of unilateral hearing loss and the effects of AN on audition and auditory responses. They will also cover amplification options for AN patients.
