Don't Sit on the Sidelines - Get Back into the Game
A positive and uplifting afternoon featuring Kurtis Lau, acoustic Neuroma survivor and post-treatment patient. Kurtis will share his unique story and will describe his pre- and post-treatment journey for his large AN. As an educator and coach, he will share stories about the teams he coached and people who have encouraged and support him along the way. A few minutes around Kurtis and you will feel his positive vibe! Kurtis says, "Once a tumor is discovered, life does not end - it is only a detour." Please join us and share one of your "wins" to cheer us along!

Who should attend? Family members, caregivers, friends and interested persons are encouraged to attend.
Benefits of attending a local support group include communicating in a nurturing, non-judgmental environment with others who have shared a common acoustic neuroma experience; sharing information on dealing with specific problems, educational opportunities about the latest acoustic neuroma topics of interest; and providing emotional support to all patients, both pre- and post-treatment. This helps in reducing the isolation and loneliness that many acoustic neuroma patients feel.
