Pre- and Post-Treatment Headaches and Management Strategies: A Discussion With Ken Posner and Agnes Garino, ANA Volunteers

Our discussion will focus on headache management both before and after treatment. Ken is an ANA Peer Mentor and former leader of the Michigan support group since 2014. Ken experienced headaches before his middle fossa surgery. Agnes is an ANA Peer Mentor, Leader of the St. Louis Support Group since 2008 and former ANA board president. Agnes experienced headaches after her retrosigmoid/sub-occipital surgery. While serving in these capacities, they have had the opportunity to interact with many AN patients and caregivers over the years. They understand the unique challenges specific to acoustic neuroma and can describe their headache management strategies with you. If you want to network with others who have similar experiences, this meeting is for you. Bring your questions and join us for information and support.
Family members, caregivers, friends and interested persons are welcome to attend. Virtual meetings provide a nurturing, non-judgmental environment with individuals who have shared acoustic neuroma experiences along with educational opportunities, emotional support and encouragement throughout all stages of the AN journey.
The meeting will be facilitated by Ken Posner and Agnes Garino, ANA peer mentors and acoustic neuroma post-treatment patients.
