Here ye, here ye, Phyl and the Moderators now playing in the middle of the carribean, on board the Goode Ship PBW. Their number one hit song soon to be released is called "I hear chirping"

Pirate daily reveals

"This band of flea bitten aliens, led by the cursed one - Phyl the cruise director, has been likened to a young Joan Jet back in the days of "The Runnaways". Although the members of this band all seem to be lob sided for some reason, they churn out a sound that any parrot would enjoy"

"The crew of the PBW, who were the first to hear the new single, all suddenly started walking the plank for no apparant reason"  ;D.

"At the conclusion of the attempted entertainment, the remaining crew, who could not get onto the plank quick enough, all cheered prefusely and when Phyl organised the band for an encore, the remaining 3 crew members made their way to the plank at double pace".

Stay tuned as the voyage continues.

I love it!  Do you think "Phyl and the Moderators" will perform it for us at the Symposium?

Is that why Phyl is on hiatus?  She's in rehearsal for the big show?

Oh, no  :o The secret is out  :o

Mary, which one do you find frightening - Phyl and the Moderators performing, or Sue ironing?

Sue ironing can be very scary, too! HA   I suppose my generation is the last one that will ever "iron"!   I notice that the display clothing in most stores isn't even pressed very well.  Humph!  These young whippersnappers! What's the world coming too? ;)

I agree Sue.

I remember many a day of ironing especially as a girl...back then we ironed every thing in site! I like the new wrinkled look mainly because I have ironed enough for a lifetime so nice neat creases are over rated.

Ironing is a lost art.  When I was a kid, my mom used to iron all the time.  She had a little spray bottle of water and after spraying the items she was going to iron (my dad's dress shirts and handkerchiefs, tablecloths, etc) she would roll them up and put them in the refrigerator for awhile before she ironed them.  Don't know what that was all about  ???

I tried ironing once or twice in my 46 years and totally hated it.  My parents bought me an iron when I went away to college, but the things I tried to iron ended up looking more wrinkled after I ironed them, than before I ironed them  :D  I soon gave the iron to my younger brother when he went off to college  ;)  He actually used it  :o

Laz,
Don't take ironing away...............I love to iron!  When I was ten, my Dad paid me to iron his shirts for work and his hankies.  I loved it.  I can take out a lot of frustration on a wrinkle garment!

I agree with Brendalu!!!

Nothing more attractive on a man than a nice crisp ironed shirt!!!

Come on swashbuckling Laz, don't you want your ruffled shirt nicely ironed as we sail the sea'?

Is this ruffled shirt the same as was on the "Seinfeld" episode?  THAT would look great on Laz and the other swashbuckling scallywags.  Oh, yeah, definitely needs to be ironed.  Maybe somebody needs to be the ship's presser.  There's a job for somebody!  Run that by Capt Deb.

Have a great weekend!
