Hi All,

I will be attending the convention also. Although I only live 1 hour away, I'm going to take a mini-vacation and spend the weekend in Chicago, something I have never done before. I look forward to meeting everyone that I have corresponded with for the past 4 years! See ya soon! Ann

That's great news, Ann!  ;D

I think you'll really enjoy Chicago - and meeting us, of course!

See you there!

I'm still undecided over what to register for!

Is a critical mass of the forum group attending the reception and banquet on Saturday?

Well, well, this is an interesting wrinkle for Chicago: It would certainly separate the men from the boys from the AN patients!

I have a friend who had surgery some years ago for his Chiari Malformation--he was visiting me from England and went up Sears Tower and was dizzy for the rest of his visit!  Seriously, anyone with balance problems should avoid this.  But then you know that already.

saw it on the news tonight... add me to the list of Chiari/AN folks that will avoid it!  Um... NO!

Ann (Desilu)! OMG! It's going to be FAB to FINALLY meet you after all this time! I have BIG hugs for you... you know it!

Spoke to matti (Cheryl) and she, unfortunately, won't be able to attend but when I told her that me and Capt Deb were coming in for it... the first thing out of her mouth was "uh-oh! Bail money!"... she knows me/us too well. :)

I signed up for it. I figure we can ditch it and hit some tasty Chicago restaurant if it looks too boring. I will take a pass on the glass floor booth at the 103 floor of the Sears tower, thanks very much all the same.

Thanks, Steve, for answering right on time!  :D  I just was signing up for it figuring the early rates will be over in 90 minutes, so I did choose those figuring the reception is the part of most interest to me, since I just want to meet & greet mostly!

Over the last year I have seen Drs. Hain, Fishman, Ciric, Wiet and Brackmann (blush) (as well as a few others *not* participating in the symposium). I was a rather fickle patient.  ::)  It took a village to get me to the finish line.  ;)

Will also be attending the reception and banquet.  Sounds like fun and looking forward to dressing up ... as its been a while since I've shown my legs in something other than shorts. :D

Can't remember if Kate included this info in her attendee list many pages back, but I will be at the banquet and reception, as well.

Oh, good. I tried to read back through the posts and see who was doing what in terms of the symp itself, but didn't find that info! At 27 pages, I might well have missed it!  :D

BTW I have friends with normal, whole vestibular systems who were saying at dinner last night that they almost keeled over looking at the photos of the Sears Tower "Ledge."  :)

Hi Phyl,

Yes, we go way back. Back to when you were researching your treatment options. I have not always posted but have always been reading & trying to stay in touch with the forum. It will be nice to meet you and all the other awesome AN people.  See you soon. Ann
