They mentioned something about that, but they also told me not to go back to work for at least 12 weeks after my AN surgery too...lol

You know, I've been hearing different things from different BAHA patients.

My doc says 3 months for the processor and explained why - basically "torque".  It's in another post; search "torque wrench" and you'll find it.

But others have docs who say they can use the processor much earlier.  The elderly mother of a woman I work with had her surgery about a week after mine and she's already been told she can wear the processor.  I still have almost 2 months to go before my doc gives me mine.

I can understand the need to wait for some period of time, but I was told to resume normal activities plus they told me to snap and unsnap this for the lack of a better term "skin plate" as much as I like.

I had to wait 8 weeks to get my processor.  It seemed like a LONG 8 weeks.  I thought that was the usual time, but I guess like everything else, the docs like to do things their way.

Congrats David!  Hope you have horses whispering sweet nothings in your BAHA before long!   :D  Just make sure they don't think it's a sugar cube and try to eat it!

Well as humid as it is I doubt I will wear it much outside.....might let the smoke out of the processor.
