Woah,

The goode ship PBW has been hit by a curve ball which has put a hole in the side.

Can the Captain prevent the sinking of the ship? will the crew rally behind the Captain? what will happen?

Stay tuned.

Ode to the GM Thread

Oh, Captain, my Captain, I dare not think,
What we shall do if our good ship doth sink,
Where shall we go for a jolly laugh or two?
Or hunt for Sawyer, chocolate or brew?

Wounded and sinking, our shipmates cry out,
"We were on to Hawaii, what's this all about?
We laugh and we joke and we travel the seas,
Mostly we visit and just "shoot the breeze."

But the Admiralty flag ship has fired a shot,
We are in her sights, her cannons are hot,
Wild eyed and scared we await our fate,
Just know, I'm proud to be the poet lorry-ate.

Do you know just how much I love you?  YOU, my dear, have just summed up how I feel about things here....the true family we have become.  Heck, if it wasn't for you all, I would not have been able to research and reach out to others that are also in the same shoes....so, regardless of where the PBW sails, I remain on board with the crew!  It's you all, the crew of the PBW, that has carried me through this AN journey... and I thank you all!

Have you filled the hole in the ship yet? I wouldn't know cos I have been busy fending everyone off the Tim Tams with my feather duster. Hard job this one! Someone said there are all those AN's floating around somewhere. Maybe they can be useful. We can't allow the ship to sink yet, just as newbies arrive. Hmmm maybe those who have been eating too many Tim Tams might just have to put their bums (or fannys as you Americans say, cracks me up every time) up against the hole temporarily. Laz you are Australian aren't you. What about your beer gut  ;D

We have a lot of new crew members, and a large hoard of Tim Tams and Rum on board, so I'll quote Broady from JAWS, "We're goin' to need a bigger boat."

To thye system administrator

The crew of the good ship PBW is cryuing out for a lifeline. Many a time, this here thread has been used as a heeeler. It has fantastic qualities and with newbies coming on board all the time, we point them in this direction and they start to relax and become less stressed.

This here chronologer is asking the system administrator to throw this thread a lifeline, plug the hole in the boat and remember, AN's are rotten afflictions but this here thread, together with a number of other "healing" threads, eases some of that pain, especially for newbies who are lost and confused.

ATTENTION, the crew of the good ship PBW, please remind the administrator of the benefits of this thread and rally your support behind this and the other healing threads.

Record your support because we do not want the ship to go down.

Ah, the GM thread got me through a very frightful night.  By the time I was done reading the 102 pages I needed Depends, a box of tissues, a good cocktail and something for my tummy ache from the laughter I hadn't felt in a long time.  I knew that I had finally found someplace that I fit in. I felt like more than one person understood and was really listening.  I hadn't even had to speak.  I could have though and someone would have listened.  We need the PBW and the GM thread and all the craziness and poems.  This wench is calling a day and going to dream of a gently rocking ship somewhere off the coast of the Big Island.
