I am a Tylenol junkie myself. I would lke to stop taking them but not sure where to go. My headaches occur on the oppsite side of my AN. Is this normal or is this just were my migraines are? My AN is on the left side and headache are always on the right

Patch,

Were you having headaches before your treatment? Suggest you see a good neurologist to see if you are having rebound headaches.  Lots of options for preventives and headache treatment are available besides stuff that causes rebound like Tylenol, ibuprophen and opiods.  Janet had headaches opposite her surgery site--she had a nerve/blood vessel thing going on that she actually treated surgically and she is much better.

Hi Patch,

I had one last night and many other times on my opposite side. I think I have a nerve thing going on. . Went from the middle back of my head and made a bee line to my temple. About an 8 so I had to get up ice and take 1300mg of Tylenol. I wrap a neoprene wrap around my head with a gel pack and I was back to sleep in 15 mins. Ice works like a charm.

I saw my surgeon he wanted me to take the recommended dosage and no more. I'm mixing it up with Excedrin for Migraines during the day and Ibuprofen in the eve. Nights I take a cocktail of Motrin, Tylenol, 1/4 tab of Diazepam and Cyclobenzaprine both antispasmodics and it keeps the pain at bay. I go to a pain specialist on Monday. I want to get off all these drugs I'm taking and get to the source of the problem as Janet did. Joe
