This has been a difficult journey for all of us, but knowing that there are people out there that we can share are bad times and good times with makes it a little better for all of us. Now that the Symposium is almost here, can we update our list of who's attending, when they will arrive and depart, and what hotel they are staying at?

I think some have had a change of plans since we first started this thread.

Kate was great at creating the first list, maybe she can create the updated one.

arrive afternoon of the 12th, staying at Drake, fly out afternoon of the 16th.

Arriving Friday afternoon - hopefully to hotel by 4 pm
Staying at the Knickerbocker
Leaving Weds morning

Planning to eat and drink our way thru Chicago - but no Sears Tower for moi!  Planning to attend Sat night gala - but will be right behind Steve on our way to a Chicago eatery if it's too dull (or too loud!)

I can't WAIT to meet everyone!!!

Happy to say I'll be arriving some time on the afternoon of the 14th.

Although I had to extend my business trip, my plane from San Diego gets into O'Hare at 1 a.m. that day.  I'm sure I'll need some sleep before I even attempt to interact with all you party people, but once that happens, I'll be heading downtown.

Staying @ The Drake - plan to attend all the banquets, brunches, get togethers, etc., that are part of the symposium schedule.  Also plan to participate in anything else that others are doing that they care to invite me to.

Leaving for home some time on Sunday - late afternoon/early evening.

Will bring my Steve original with me

Ok, I'm out for the symposium - but oddly enough, I will be in Chicago that weekend!  My son is graduating from Navy boot camp on the 14th, so we'll be spending time with him that weekend, but since none of us have been to Chicago, our plan is to head downtown on Friday or Saturday - so I may very well pop in at the Drake and see what's going on!

We are flying in on Thursday (not sure of the times yet), but if it's early enough, we may be able to head down there Thursday night too.  I have Jan and Kay's phone numbers, so I'll give someone a call and I'll be on the lookout for a bunch of wobbly people wearing knit hats and saying "huh?" a lot.

You are correct!  The 13th!  Taxi, m'dear?   Captn Deb's plane is also arriving a couple of hours different from our's.  She'll be staying at the Drake (with moi)... I believe she is also flying out on Sunday, the 16th.

Steve, NO way I'll do the Sears Tower! I'm out on that one!

Jan, will you be borrowing Lori's halo in her absence so I can try to knock it off you?

Just looking at the picture of the glass floor makes me dizzy.  Not for the brave at heart!!! 

Everybody enjoy, enjoy, enjoy.  So wish I was going.  My FIL is hanging tough, but each day has new challenges.  Have a drink for me, something really cold and sour.

Just met up with some of the gang in NY/NJ (see post in this section for pictures) and it looks like I am the only one from our group going - but I have been ordered to take lots of pictures!

Hey, I'm thinking we need to set up a communal photo album on Flickr or something so that we can all post pictures there after the symposium - what do you all think?
