Hi,
I am flying from Seattle to DC next Tue to visit my old highschool buddy, do a little photography and get a little R&R. (I have 10 grandchildren all nearby within babysitting distance.) I have an appt with Dr Ducic from Georgetown University. I remember Staypoz mentioned he treats scar neuromas and I wanted to talk to him about his procedures for headache treatments. He is a plastic surgeon that specializes in peripheral nerve pain. I know the usual response to treatment of the occipital nerve is don't touch it as you can make it worse. (I can't imagine it being worse!) I understands he makes more room for the nerves which is a different approach. Anyone have any info on this procedure?
Also, my last MRI (1st post-op) showed a 4x5 mm enhanced area which is either scar tissue, regrowth or residual. I will have a follow-up MRI in 6 months. I'm not too worried about it as these headaches are my main concern.
Can anyone recommend a restaurant in the Georgetown area? We'll be staying there for a couple of days before going to my friends house in MD.
Janet
