I am getting an MRI Wednesday to evaluate the damage from my stroke in April. The purpose is to evaluate my candidacy to for an ABI. This is my first step in considering this possibility. If the MRI shows that the area of the brainstem where the doctors would place the electrodes has not been damaged either by tumor size, swelling in surgery, or stroke, I would be a candidate and could then consider another surgery. So.... I'll let you know how it goes.
