6 month check..."wait & watch"

Dec. 06' I began to experience vertigo which was later attributed to a small AN. My symptoms haven't really improved yet; I still experience dizziness and have difficulty with balance. Today I got the results of my latest MRI...no growth!! Neuro-ent wants me to have my hearing checked to be certain that hasn't changed...if all goes well I will be in "wait & watch" mode until next year. As for my symptoms...he has put me on prednisone for a week to see if that helps. The next step will be vestibular therapy.

I still can't believe this is happening...but so thankful that I found out when my AN is small.

Diagnosed 1/07 2mm AN - symptoms included spinning sensations when awakening, balance problems & mild hearing loss
6/07 - followup MRI no growth
6/08 - no growth, hearing unchanged

Cindy, you are, indeed, very fortunate and keeping fingers crossed that the darn AN decides to remain as is..... and hoping the prednisone helps out.

Yea Cindy!

Let us know if the prednisone helps with the dizziness and balance issues.  I can gain weight just getting a prescription for prednisone filled, but it's worth it if the dizziness goes away.

Hope your hearing test brings good news as welll!
