Hi all-
  I have a question for anyone I guess.
It has been about 7 years since my surgery to remove my neuroma.  I had a large neuroma and I have total hearing loss and facial paralysis.  About 2 years ago I actually felt my eye on the paralysis side start to water a bit every now and then.  This is still going on- and even as I type I have a tear in my "bad" eye.
I am having on and off tingling in my cheekbone right under my eye.  Could it be possible that something good is going on after all this time?
Just curious and always holding out hope :)

Doctors will tell you no. However there is plenty of anecdotal evidence that longer term recovery takes place. I am still seeing improvement more than 5 years out. Kaybo wrote this post: http://www.anausa.org/smf/index.php?topic=13961.0 after 15 years of complete paralysis.

So yes, I believe that it is possible that something good is going on after all this time. Keep up the good healing!
