AN and Tinnitus
« on: November 30, 2011, 02:12:21 am »
I'm six months post FSR. While most of the discomfort (mostly tiredness & dizziness) I've experienced related to the swelling has become easier to bear, my tinnitus has become worse! My doctor told me the problem might resolve after the tumor begins to shrink, which could take a while. I would like to hear from others what their experience with tinnitus has been, and especially those who used radiation therapy. Have you found any methods to be particularly useful to deal with it? I'm currently trying acupuncture and gingko biloba but so far without much success.  Thanks!

Unfortunately, my acupuncturist told me that it does not work for tinnitus.  I didn't have any before my CK, but afterwards it started.  It's a low frequency hum, so I really don't even notice it at all anymore.  Only sometimes when I'm lying in bed awake I wish it would be completely silent (I have it in my other ear also).  But for the most part I tune it out.

Sorry i couldn't be of any more help!  Tisha
