Prism question
« on: November 15, 2011, 09:19:39 pm »
I have double vision that is worse when I look to the right (variable muscle imbalance). Prisms were recommended. However my wife spoke with an eye doctor today that she knows (she used to work with him a few years ago) and he said I would have to pick what direction I would like the singular vision to be. For instance if I want to see correctly strait ahead, then looking right without turning my head would still be double. Is this the case for everyone? I'm tired of this piratey patch I have to wear.

Well I got my answer today. If you get the temporary prisms that stick on your glasses they are one direction only. If you get the lenses they are full directional. Anyways I had an eye exam today and got a prescription for them. Now I just need to go get them.
