Thanks everyone!

Oh, my the 5K that is creeping up on me....ugh.  Well, I ran a little bit (very little) while my kids were playing at the playground yesterday.  Would have done more, but it was an impromtu trip, so I was wearing jeans - not conducive to running.

HOWEVER, it's a gorgeous day out again and I'm throwing my bike in the car and heading to the boardwalk for a nice long ride this morning.  I've blown off my volunteer responsibilities for the morning and Erika is at school til noon, so I'm going to go pedal my heart out.  I would just ride the bike from here to the boardwalk, but part of the trip is on a very narrow, winding road with no shoulder or bike path and I don't really want to get run over.

Will report back later if I'm able to walk to the computer!

8 miles on the bike today!   ;D  Best part is - no casualties!  I did play chicken with a stubborn seagull (you'd think those things would just fly away when there's a bike headed towards them...) and won, thankfully, or I'd still be picking feathers out of my spokes.  Somehow, 8 miles with an ocean view is so much easier than 3 seconds on a stationary bike.

Now if I could just get them to let me ride my bike for the 5k.....

Hope I can walk up and down the stairs tomorrow!   :-\

Great, Lori!  Yes, a view of the ocean is motivation for sure!  Loved the pics of Paige - what awesome eyes - sure that was fun for her.

End the week strong, everyone.  Sneak in something today or tomorrow - a few jumping jacks during tv tonight, a jog up and down your stairs before your shower tomorrow and/or lift your pet over your head 10 times  ;D  you choose, but do something, ok!

PS - Kay, how's Kendie today?

I think we are FINALLY turning the corner with Kendie - looks better today - a little more color and no brown circles around her eyes!!  Sleeping a LOT slept until 11:30 (I think awake from 6-7) and then did 2 pages of homework just now & fell back asleep!  Thanks for asking!

Soundy -

I had no idea mules lived that long.  Actually, I guess I never gave it much thought...

Go with the build a bear.  Much safer for everyone involved!   :D

Thanks, Jan!

Blisters on tongue so wouldn't eat/drink = dehydration again. If dehydrated, chance of bleeding greater again. On IV for fluids & steroids.

Trying to at least check in once a week here. The job thing sometimes limits how much time I can spend on the bicycle.

I would have loved to have done a long bike ride today as it was perfect weather here (about 72 degrees and no wind). However, I'm still on track to do about 140 miles this week, although it's mostly backloaded to the weekend with 30 planned for Saturday and a long ride of 70 slated for Sunday (organized ride of around 4,000 participants). Supposed to be windy on Sunday, but will fight thru it.

Good luck to everyone on the activities....be active and safe.
