This ANer needs to diet

   This is terrible, I an sittng here eating chips while I'm reading these posts.  I love to eat, its my life or part of it.  If I had to be on a special diet, it would be terrible.  Food makes me happy.  When I'm tired I eat.  Sad-eat.  happy-eat.  board-eat.  Lonely-I eat.  Any unheard of suggestions for this problem?   I just got done painting the hall, I hate to paint,hate, hate, hate.  I'v been thinking about it for weeks and after 2 weeks I decided to do it.  I promised myself I could have some cookies if I painted.  See....food is also a reward for me.

Cakes--Why not kill two birds with one stone and put yourself on a walking program?  Helps with balance and it's hard to eat when you are walking!  What is the status of your AN I can't remember what treatment you've had or when--suggest you put it in your profile.

Also ediets has a forum for compulsive eaters, but it ain't free like this'n!

We can't have you all porked out for the cruise now can we?  After all you started that wacky thread dintcha!

Hi Cakes - Interesting topic... as I have just returned from my weekly weight watchers mtg. I was a bad girl last week, need to get back on track. I am an emotional eater as well, and I find great comfort in food. Plus growing up Italian and in the restraunt business, I was screwed from the start!  >:(

 After my AN surgery I gained 30+ pounds and slowly but surely I have been able to take it off. I enjoy my WW meetings and they like this forum are a great source of support and understanding. I've tried to lose it on my own, but at least for me, I find having a buddy support system very helpful. It nice to have someone I can call when I need to be talked down from a cupcake or a bag of chips. Is there a friend that you could buddy up with to start a walking program? Not sure where you live? I find walking benefits not only my physical health, but mental as well.

I would be more than happy to be you cyber diet buddy.  ;D

I can't go to work as I can't get into my work clothes I've gained so much weight from this tumor!  Darn steriods!!  Cakes I'll be your diet buddy.  I have found that since I can't do my normal activities I tend to watch tv and eat.  I'm doing a new program at physical therapy and I gained 10 pounds last week...it it happens again I'm quitting!! 

You guys keep eatting...Cakes and I are going to get ready for Matthew!

I've tried everything!  Although my doctor doesn't consider me overweight, I have put on about 30-40 since my surgery and no matter what I do....... guess getting older makes it harder too.  I had the flu last week and didn't even eat for a week and gained weight.

To continue Matti's comment, you can use this thread as a weekly cyber ww meeting. Every Monday, everyone says how much they have lost and the winner gets a big block of cyber chocolate.

Dang I missed it..how won?  Navy or Marines?

I'm thinking hormones are to blame for some of mine.  Has anyone been told this an brain stuff affects hormones?  I have by a non doctor  lol

Gennysmom - I love the Biggest Loser. Not crazy about the female trainer/drill sergeant, she's a little intense, but wouldn't mind having the male trainer help me out. I also missed last nights show

Static and batty - I blame it ALL on hormones. Men have it so easy. Well, maybe they don't... I know my husband suffers from a hormone problem.....ME!   >:(
