Sons surgery date set.

Got the call yesturday his surgery is june 30 at 6:30 in the morn. The funny thing is that it will be his birthday that day lol.

Just what he needed for his birthday, another hole in his head!  Haha, sorry, couldn't resist that  ;).
 
I may be joining him one day.  Not sure yet, but if I can't get used to being SSD, I may well give the BAHA a try.

-1.3 X 0.8 cm AN in the right cerebellopontine angle extending into the internal auditory canal.
-Retrosigmoid Surgery with Dr. Bartels and Dr. Danner at Tampa General 3/5/2009.
-Had to cut hearing nerve to get "sticky" tumor, so SSD right side.

I truly can't think of a better birthday gift for your son than a BAHA  ;D

If you'll give me his first name, I'll add his surgery to the AN calendar.

Hi Mike ... best to your son .... is he also SSD ?  Also getting baha?  I'm sure that, based on your baha enthusiasm you've shown here, he'll be smiling thru the entire procedure  ;D  :D  :)  8)

BAHA since 7/20/10 ... really helps w/ hearing, specially after programming in subliminal message: "Hey, don't listen to your tinnitus!"

That's awesome, Mike! June 30th is my husband's birthday,too.

I had my 3 week follow up today, and am scheduled to go back on July 23rd when I will most likely GET MY PROCESSOR! YEAH!  My doctor, who is usually a very serious dude said, "I'll be turning you on the next time I see you".

Hi Greg, yes he is ssd too same as me and he is getting the Baha too. Hi Lisa, I am glad you did fine on the 3 week appointment oh yeah your processor is on the 23 july mune is the 21 hmmmm lets see oh yea the race thing lol  :P ;D. Just kidding we will have to compare what we hear with are Bahas and lets see how different it was from the demo.

IMO that is absolutely hilarious!  :D  ;D

It reminds me of a something my doc said on the day of my BAHA surgery.  As they were draping me with sheets, I asked "Why are ORs always so cold".  He replied, "It's because the doctors are always hot".   

I'm not sure if I took that the way he meant it or not  :D  ;D

I put Ryan's date on the calendar earlier today when I was working through lunch.  Things are hectic at work; my boss got fired two days ago - big shock, that :o  :o  :o

Anyway, if July 21st and July 23rd are definite BAHA Gotcha Days for you and Lisa, we should put them on the AN calendar.

Your OR story is funny too! Sorry to hear about your boss, same thing happened in my company in Feb.  I find that I do like my new boss better, so it worked out for me, I hope it does for you.

You win!  ;D  ;DI think it's great that you are getting yours exactly 3 months after surgery, while mine is 3 months plus one day. That is just because it fell on a Thursday, which is my ususal day off. It will go by quick, summers ALWAYS do!

Pretty funny Lisa -  docs do show their sense of humor once iin a while.
