Free Eye Weight
« on: May 13, 2009, 04:10:23 pm »
I don't know if anyone is interested, but I no longer need to wear my eye weight and would be very happy to send it to someone who might need it.  The weight is 1.2 and it comes with a few adhesive strips - you'd have to order more at some point from MedDev.
Pls PM me if interested - first come, first served.  No charge - just a small way of thanking the community that has been so good to me.

I have a 1.6 gram somewhere around here, not many adhesive strips left, but you can order more from MedDev. The customer relations consultant at MedDev said they would take it back, but then reneged. PM me if interested.

Hm, maybe we should start up a cottage industry in gently used eye weights.

I know some people don't get as much benefit from the temp eye weights, but mine was HUGELY beneficial.  Before I started wearing it, I couldn't bear to be outside more than about 5 minutes because my non-closing eye would just dry up.  After I started using the weight, I could spend much longer periods outside without having to constantly be putting drops in my eye.  The only minor pain was learning how to get it propery positioned on my eyelid.  Worth it though.

BTW, I beleive I have found a home for my weight.
