Rowing Away!
« on: April 28, 2009, 02:27:02 pm »
Well, here are the pics of my rowing class...on the Chattahoochee River at about 5 months post-op.  We had a great time and I learned so much...but much more to learn!  Oddly enough, my wonkiness didn't bother me near as much doing this as it does playing tennis.  I'm looking forward to a great summer on the river!  Nancy Mc, feel free to critique my form :-*  Two of the ladies with us, the stroke and number 4, were experienced rowers, but the rest of us were very much newbies.

Oh, I'm the one in the white tank top in between the girl in the pink shirt and the one in the black shirt (bow).

So sorry that they are huge...just can't figure out how to reduce them...I'll put one on the Pics of Friends thread if I ever figure out how to get it smaller ???

Cindy

Hey Cindy!

Looks like you're having a blast AND staying fit! And what a scenic place to do it!

It's great to see you're doing so well.  (Makes me wonder what you'll be taking on at 6 months post-op.  ;))

Thanks for sharing the pics!

I like the goose in picture #2 (apologies if I have not identified the water fowl correctly). It is checking you guys out, and saying to itself, "Geesh! And you guys think I look funny when I walk..."  ;D

Great pictures, looks beautiful. I am loving spring time.

Cindy,
Those pictures should not be smaller--they are great just the way they are.  I also was amused by the goose/duck. Good for you, keep it up, and don't unintentionally hit anyone with your paddle.

Cindy -- Very cool!!!!  And so glad you didn't have the wonky-headedness.  Like you, I found that stuff on land (football) was much more difficult that on the water (kayaking) with the exception of getting out of the kayak -- a total mess.

Where on the Hooch was that?  Roswell Landing?  I remember that part of the river well from the running trail by the river.
