Glad to see you doing well!  Your pics look fantastic!

Hey, Jo - you look fabulous...just the same as you did when I saw you before your surgery!  Way to go!

I saw on the other thread (somewhere?) about having those needles in your abdomen to prevent clotting...I had not heard of anyone else here having that done...know it's a surgery thing, not an AN thing, but oooh, doesn't sound like that was any fun at all.  I just had the leg wraps with constant squeezing for the clotting.  Was this a special precaution for you, or is this the standard procedure w/ your surgeons?  Just curious...

Keep up your great recovery,

Cindy

JO ~

Thanks for the photos.  Of course you look great - but you knew that!  The belly scar is another matter - but never mind.  Did I mention that you look great?  :D

Thanks for sharing the pictures.  How great you look.  I know people find comfort in that because there is always apprehension about people post-surgery.

I remember meeting with several people in the Chicago area after they were first diagnosed. The first comment they always made was about my "normalcy" (or at least somewhat normal )<grins> appearance.

You look awesome Jo!  I'd be smiling too!

I had to do a week of shots in the abdomen for a blood clot last fall - and all I can say is OUCH!  If that wasn't the most unpleasant thing, I don't know what is!  Kinda makes the brain surgery seem like a picnic, doesn't it?

I'm glad you're doing well!!

JO

You look great.  My belly scar is almost completely gone 18 months postOP.  I feel with you, the blood clotting shots are a pain.  Here in germany you get them everyday you are in the hospital, it doesn't matter what kind of operation you had.  I feel like a living pincushion I have had at least 55 of these shots in the last 4 years.

No way I would post my tummy scar.  It looks like someone carved a huge hole out of me.  My operative report says, "A generous fat graft was harvested."  I'll say.  Wish they could have taken it from a more widely distributed area.
Watch and Wait since 9/19/01
Increased from 1.1 x 1.9 to 1.9 x 1.9 cm as of 10/27/08
Right SSD, tinnitus, compensating balance

Translab April 8, 9 hours, 18 mm Tumor all gone SSD some facial weakness
