Well, since Larry's actually coming for the Star Trek convention and not us....(I know, he'd rather be with mom, bro, and Captain James!!!)  we're working around his schedule....and since they closed Fantasy Ltd. at the corner of the market, I just don't know what we'll do!   Sue, you're close enough, you should come join us!!!!!  We'll probably just find Larry in Seattle somewhere and get some coffee and grub!!!!!!!!!

So not Starbuck - but Star Trek!  Cool.

You are not going to believe this, but I have been to the Star Trek convenion here in Portland. I have James Doohan's (Scotty) autographed photo.  Also the actor who played Spock's father was there. Both have gone to Star Trek heaven.   My son and I went. We had fun. No, I didn't dress up or anything like that. Not quite THAT into it.  But it was fun and I'm glad I went. In fact, I think I went to two of them.  But, Seattle will be a big one and draw some of the bigger names like Leonard Nemoy. Don't know if William Shatner still shows up at these.  They are good sports to put up with the Star Trekkers for all these many years. Talk about a loyal fan base!!  Yeah, I'm a fan. If you see this Larry, have fun. Say hi to Spock for me, if he is there. (my favorite along with Scotty) When is this happening? You never know, maybe I can drive up. If I wouldn't be too terrified to drive in Seattle traffic that is. That would be fun.  We can all sit around the table, saying things like, What? Huh? Would you mind repeating that?  What'd he say?  What'd she say?   ;D

Ha' DoS Seattle

Translated - Let's go target Seattle - woo hoo - counting down.

The star Trek convention is secondary to my visit - really coming to judge a wet t shirt competition! ;D

I have an itinery somewhere - I'll dig it up and we'll firm up on catching up. Seating arrangements will have to be a strategic process.

OMG, he even knows Klingon!  Now, I'm really impressed.

I wrote it on the calendar.  Who knows, maybe I can figure out a way to get there.

Sue,

Unless you learn Klingon, you will not be able to trade on the intergalactic market!

Laz gets really nervous coz thiose men in white coats are approaching - runs for the hills!

Laz has sent a search party to find the good ship PBW - last seen with a one winged parrot at the helm!

Klingon E-Bay??  Or Federation E-Bay?  Well, why not.

Have you seen Galaxy Quest with Tim Allen? I thought it was hilarious.

Yep, our fearless captain has had her wings clipped. Hopefully she is on the mend and will be back at the helm soon.  She probably ran off to see the premier of Pirates of the Carribean: Dead's Man Chest.  Luv that Johnny Depp.

What's up with Seattle? I haven't been following this thread but decided that I must be missing something with 56 pages of comments! With the ANers on this site from around Seattle, Laz and more we should be able to have some sort of get together. Count me in! Gennysmom should good to go by then. (So happy to hear that her surgery went well.)

Anyway, Seattle is my turf, so I would be happy to help plan a meeting place.
