Anyone here every dealt with Dr. Niparko at Hopkins?
My ENT is sending me to Dr. Niparko as a referral and speaks
very highly of him.

Just wanted to get input from someone who has dealt with Dr. Niparko before
and get their impressions.
AN 3mm x 3mm x 2mm diagnosed March, 2009.
Symptomatic since June, 2006.
Currently in the watch & wait holding pattern.

Hi Southpaw,

I haven't dealt personally with Dr. Niparko, but many folks in the DC-area support group had him as their neurotologist. They seemed to like him a lot. My neurotologist at Hopkins is Dr. Carey, who is a very pleasant man, very friendly, and he will answer questions for me via email. Sorry I don't know much more, but I wanted to let you know that Dr. Niparko seems to do a lot of AN stuff.

Hi ....... Having had my AN surgery @ Johns Hopkins in '04, I did lots of searching JH's websites beforehand for info on anything related to ENT, as well as the docs who dealt with those who have ANs.  Have also gone back to JH's website as I consider Baha.  Many times read a lot about many docs, including John Niparko.  JH's website includes links to their great publications .... from which you can learn a lot about your issues and the authors, the docs who address those issues.  Don't think you'll go wrong if J.N. is involved with your situation.

SSD right. Tinnitus big-time, only when thinking of it.
BAHA since 7/20/10 ... really helps w/ hearing, specially after programming in subliminal message: "Hey, don't listen to your tinnitus!"
