Follow up from surgery 3 months ago

Hey everyone-
 I went for my 3 month follow up hearing test today (I had my AN removed via middle fossa in December) and the news is very good.  My hearing is still within normal limits, that is, 25 decibels or less in both ears.  My left ear (AN side) was a little worse in hearing high frequencies than before surgery, but it is still within normal limits.  Great News!!! My hearing was saved!! Yea!!

That is very encouraging. I am looking at a July Microsurgery myself and it is uplifting to hear about your recover. How long before you were up and around after the surgery?

To answer your question....I had my surgery on December 17, went back to school on January 19th, and back to work part time on January 25th.  I was in the hospital for 5 days.  After I got out of the hospital I tried to walk as much as I could to get my balance back.  I was really about 5 full weeks before I really started feeling like myself again....but now i am great!!!  Let me know if you have more questions.  karissashields@cox.net

Well your news is encouraging!   I am scared about the post op phase of surgery.
