Syl's Surgery Monday
« on: June 14, 2008, 11:25:59 pm »
I am jumping the gun and starting the topic a little early, since the surgery dates seem to come up so fast. According to the calendar, Syl has retrosigmoid surgery Monday, in Fremont CA.

Best wishes Syl! I know you have been counting the days, and now it is here. You know by now that we are all behind you, sending you our best thoughts and hoping for the best outcome for you. And we will all be here when you get home again, patiently awaiting your first postie post - or maybe not so patiently, judging by the trend lately.

Right side is weak too. Life is quiet.

Syl:

Well, here it is!

Please know that you'll be in the thoughts and prayers of myself and many others as you go into surgery.

I'll join in the expectations of seeing you back here as a 'postie', soon.  Stay strong and optimistic.

Thanks so much all.

I would like to direct you to a string I started under AN Community for updates. It is titled "Syl's surgery update". That is where my scribe, Jessika, will be posting updates until I can do so myself.

I'm feeling the good wishes, thoughts, prayers, and good vibes.

I'll be back soon.

Re: Syl's Surgery Monday UPDATE ON SYL!!! SORRY IM BEHIND!
« Reply #12 on: June 19, 2008, 12:51:10 am »
Sorry Im late but I couldnt get into the website and then i never got a confirmation email. Im jess and happen to be syl's niece. She told me to write for her while shes in the hospital in Fremont. So the surgery went really well. The doctors tested her facial nerves and they seem to be normal. She has a bandage over her ear but I was told that they were able to save her hearing. She seems to be in high spirits and I believe she is out of the ICU as of last night or this morning. Hopefully she'll be home on saturday because shes doing pretty well. Im keeping my fingers crossed.

Im willing to answer anything if i forgot anything.

PS she says thanks for they prayers and well wishes.
