Nerve Regeneration ...
« on: April 22, 2008, 01:26:31 pm »
Has anyone who's more than 2 years post-op ever had their facial nerve functions come back? I'm 4 years out from my first surgery, 2 years from second and a year from my GK ... wondering if there's still a chance or if I should just get use to half a face.

Thanks.

Hi Scott:   If your facial nerve does not show signs of returning,  would you consider a nerve graft or the T3 surgery I had ?

If you're seeing even a little improvement, like tone or funny feelings on the AN side, you may want to see a facial nerve therapist...

It seems some folk's nerves take longer than others, especially when the nerve was not severed but stretched.

Always good thoughts,    Nancy
