wish me luck, I'm going in
« on: November 08, 2007, 03:45:08 am »

Hi all,

Its time for me to go in, it was on a knife's edge as the last couple of days have been awful I caught viral gastroeneritis, was sick almost every hour for 12 hours infact it was that bad that I didn't know which end to point at the toilet, trust me it was a sight, sat on the loo with my head in a bucket, fourtunately I'm felling much better and haven't been sick for almost 24 hours and I've just managed to eat poached egg on toast, first proper meal in 2 days.

I have to call up the hospital at 12pm to find out what time they want me in and with any luck they'll say the stomach bug has cleared and there is no need to worry.

I still feel a bit weak from all the reching and not eating but I'm sure by the end of today I'll feel pretty much back to normal.

So wish me luck, and I'll see you on the other side (postie here I come)

Keep smiling  :)

You and your husband have been in my thoughts all week.  At this point, you've done everything you can to control and improve the outcome.  So try and go with the flow.   I found myself relaxed after doing a mental inventory-am I happy with my choice in doctors?  my treatment choice? my hospital choice?  do I have what I need at home?  Okay? then let it go.

Take care and we'll talk to ya in about three to four weeks.

Good luck, Cheryl.

You'll be a postie before you know it.  Take the confidence you have in your doctor(s) and focus on that.  You'll get through fine.

Once you feel up to it, let us know how it went.

I'll be thinking about you, as will lots of others,

Cheryl:

Sorry to read about the gastro bug and it's unpleasant manifestations that you had to contend with but I'm glad to see you're apparently over it, now.  I trust this unwanted bug won't cause any delay in your surgery and by this time tomorrow, you'll be a 'postie'.   :)

Please know that my prayers - as well as many others - are with you.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.  The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.
