Non Steroid Anti-inflammatory medication
« on: November 16, 2007, 05:11:00 pm »
My rheumatologist recently put me on a prescription strength non steroid anti-inflammatory medication for what she thinks is rheumatoid arthritis or lupus.  Since I've started taking it I've found my balance getting worse, a lot more head "noise" and a feeling of pressure in my head.  None of these things are listed as side effects, but I'm thinking possibly the AN surgery combined with this medicine may not be a good mix.

Has anyone else had anything similar?

I am 3 + years post op for AN ....I have been "diagnosed" with "inflammatory undifferiated arthritic disease"  .  I've seen 2 rheumatologists over 3 years   they both say it may be RA but no "RA Factor" in blood tests.    I have taken several NSAID's methotrrexate, sulfasalazine and other meds  over the past 2 + years....I started symptoms of RA , swollen fingers both hands , painful and hot for hours every morning.

I also have Tinnitus in my AN ear which does increase with NSAID...my balance is good most of the time ...sometimes my right side ( AN side) feels  "FULL".

I'd like to know what your Dr says about the relationship of the RA/ AN  ....my doc insists no connection...seems strange as the  UIAD started shortly after AN surgery.

Hang in there !
