3 yr follow-up appt, all clear
« on: May 29, 2007, 01:57:39 pm »
I had no idea how stressed I've been about this MRI and appt until after I heard the doctor say, Good News!  He told me everything looks great and no regrowth. I also got a referral to a contact lens specialist.(who knew there was such a thing).  I told him I have a nice eye dr but I want a second opinion and would love to be back in my contacts. He also said he would not suggest a gold weight at all for me.

And the doc told us that he is a co-editor for a new book called Surgery of the Cerebellopontine Angle and that a picture of my AN will be used in the book. DH asked about our royalty fees! lol The doc said he could probably get us a copy of the book.

YEAH PEMBO!!!  What great & welcome news after what you went through to get that MRI.

Time to celebrate, and good luck with the eye dr.

Pembo:

Congratulations!

Nothing like a 'clean' MRI report to make your day, week and even your month.  :)

I hope you can finally get back into contact lenses, as you wish.  The prospects sound promising.

I like the 'royalty' comment regarding your doctor's new book, using your MRI.  Good one.  :)

Meanwhile, thanks for sharing your good news.  I think we all can feel a bit better just by our association with a successful AN patient.  I do.

Jim

4.5 cm AN diagnosed 5/06.  Retrosigmoid surgery 6/06.  Follow-up FSR completed 10/06.  Tumor shrinkage & necrosis noted on last MRI.  Life is good.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.  The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.

YEAH Pembo! :) Great news!  When the book comes out, can I get an autographed copy of your AN? :)

truly, let us know when the book comes out... I'd be interested in it!

Again, congrats!
