Facial Therapist List

There are a lot of posts about what can we do, can we improve etc. I firmly believe that a good facial therapist can help. There aren't many in the US but let's start a list with contact info of those we know.

This page lists several places to get treatment for facial paralysis. I feel like I live in the easiest part of the country to get treatment.  I'm close to Wisconsin and it has four good places to get treatment.  Think that is linked to the fact that Jackie Diehls is in Madison, Wisconsin?

Interesting fact here, Very cold wind can exascerbate the onset of bells and the virus that resides in the nerve root.  So maybe a facial therapist would be well situated in the Northern part of the country.

Hello, just had a an removed 4/6/07 and my facial nerve on left side isnt responding yet, left eye wont close by itself either- anyone else with similar problems and/or suggestions?

Hi pkrohn,

Congratulations on being a "postie".  sorry to hear that you have facial paralysis.  First of all, make sure that your eye is always well-lubricated.  Do you need to cover it at night?  your recovery will depend on what has happened to your facial nerve.  Did it work right after surgery?  I had absolutlely no movement after my surgery, but now at 18 months I am getting some back to the point where I can have a small closed mouth smile.  Patience will be a word you hear a lot.
