hot ear

has anyone had a problem with hot ear. this evening my ear seems particularly noisey, and feels very hot inside. It seems weird.

Now that you mention it, I remember pre-surg. one ear, & it was usually the right one (AN side) would get hot & red, but not often at all.
I haven't noticed it happening since surgery though.   There wasn't any pain associated with it as far as I remember.

My AN ear gets very hot and turns bright red when I drink wine, eat foods that are spicy and also hot (temperature) and exercise.   It started shortly after my facial nerve began regenerating in 1998 and continues almost 9 years later, it's not painful, just annoying.  I also experience the same thing on my cheek and down my arm (AN side).

sometimes these symptoms just seem a little strange and you feel better knowing it's not unusual.
