As some of you already know, according to Raydean the family is making some big decisions together and probably getting hospice involved.  Please keep those pirate socks on, and Deb, yes, I think it's time for the full regalia.  If Amy or Raydean doesn't get on to update, I hope to talk to one of them today and I will.  Chet's still, as of last night, at the hospital in Aberdeen.

Thanks to you all that made the call tonight, was able to get Amy on for a little bit!!  I've talked to her several times today, and this is the update;  they can't get the hospice paperwork in till Monday, so Chet will be in the hospital till then, then will be transported home.  They have a hospital bed waiting for him there, and hospice will come in everyday to help.  He is discontinuting any treatment at this time, and is going home to be comfortable with his family.  He has a touch of pneumonia in his lung they did the biopsy in as well. 

They realized they didn't have any family photos where everyone is in the picture, so a photographer will come out tomorrow as all their kids are there.  They are all hanging in there OK, and really appreciate all your words of kindness and encouragement, so keep them coming!   As always, contact me privately if you would like to know where to send cards, etc.

I am so terribly sorry to hear of the sad news that has befallen your family.  I haven't been on this site in some time and only tonight did I learn of this.   I want you to know that we, Chelsea, George and I are all praying for you all.

Was thrilled to hear my sista'-in-CM1 crime and glad to hear of the photo shoot... what a terrific thought.

Sending continued wishes, thoughts, prayers, and love to Chet, Raydean, Amy and the family. 

Amy, here's hoping you delivered Beanie's um... message... to Mom and Dad... :)

Hello all, just talked to Raydean, and she let me know that she believes he may not make it more than another week.  She said that she wanted you all to know, and hospice will evaluate him tomorrow and she thinks that is what they will tell her.  His lungs are really congested sounding.   I'll update the moment I know anything more.

Yes, Kathleeen, you are doing a wonderful job of representing this entire AN community from the US and around the world.  I thank you, along with all the rest for being so kind and thoughtful and for being our link to Chet and Raydean and their family in this very sad time for them.  I still have "our" photo taken at the Seattle lunch on my refrigerator.  I am really glad that we went to that and even more so now, if that makes any sense. When you hug Raydean and Chet be sure to tell them that it's from all of us.

hey all~ just a quick note to let you all know that Chet aka Dad is coming home today. Actually if they are on time, they should be on the road right now heading home. Will have another update once we get dad settled....
