The tumour is shrinking! Yippee!
« on: January 19, 2007, 06:25:40 am »

Hi everyone

After a long wait I have finally received the results of my MRI scan and all the indications are that the AN is shrinking ! I was getting really fed up with the long wait and phoned Sheffield to find out what had happened and there is a letter on its way to me via my
ENT specialist and GP . The lady on the phone was kind enough to read it out to me to me and indications are that the tumour is shrinking and a small gap is appearing between it and the brainstem . I am so happy ! We will celebrate tonight with a bottle of
champagne and if in the morning I have a headache there will be no doubt about what caused it .

Best regards to all Kat

Kat,

I emailed to you privately as, I'm not supposed to be on this forum typing.  (shoulder injury)

I'm on quickly to mention that Lorenzo, myself and you had/have about the same size tumor.  (and a few others)

Again, congratulations on the tumor shrinkage off the brain-stem.  I can't think of any better news.

I hope you finished off that bottle,  ;D

Residing UK. In 'watch & wait' since diagnosis in March 2002 with right side AN. Initially sized at 2.5cm and now self reduced to 1.3cm.
All symptoms have abated except impaired hearing on affected side which is not a problem for me.
