Surgery Completed on the 19th Dec at HEI
« on: December 28, 2006, 09:33:51 am »
Just wanted to let everyone know that surgery went fairly well at HEI on the 19th. Middle Fossa.
Everyone thank you for your support and help through these times, hope you all have a great Holiday like I did.
I was in ICU for 3 days, 2 days with A Fib to the heart, bacause of stress, everything is OK now.
First couple of days, fatique, dizzy hard to get any sleep.
As I got up and started walking agian, thingss got better and better.
Out of Hostpital on Christmas day went to a movie came back home in PHX or Peoria AZ on Tuesday.
I wake up energenic, and as the day goes by I get tired now and then. I have double vision problems (getting better day by day) and dry eye on the AN side.
Like other people say Fishbowl Head on the AN side. No great pain anywhere, slight headache, nothing worse that a migrane.
My hearing test AZ side 7 days after surgery is showing 58% comprehemp, Dr said still a lot of fluid on that side, it shoud get better as the nerve heals.
Just another POST TOAST TIE.

Congrats on being a post toastie!  You should see improvement by your 6 mos for your hearing.  I know that's when mine made a big change.  Hope your hearing goes up to serviceable and your headaches go down to nothing!  Remember to rest when you need to!

Congratulations Kenn, now sit back and rest easy, work on getting better!  You did it!   Careful with that A fib....my mom has A fib and SVT problems, and it can be hard on you!  She finds that having too full a stomach can trigger it.  There's a ton of postie info on this site and we're always here to answer any questions you might have.

congrats on getting surgery over with!!  I had Dr. Brackmann do mine more than 2 yrs ago,  fine ever since, almost like it never happened. I still talk to him occasionally.  He remembers all his patients.  I have been a medical doctor for 37 yrs and have never met a doctor as kind and caring and capable as Dr. Brackmann
