AlterG for vestibular PT?
« on: April 16, 2022, 01:36:03 pm »
Has any one done this treatment for balance

I found a PT clinic in our area that has the machine alterg.com
I had balance with regular PT since August 1,  some improvement but cannot walk far with a cane;  use a walker for longer distances.

In our apartment I do not need anything.

As you know, I didn't use the Alter G machine.  I would be interested to hear what others say about it.

My vestibular therapist used Bertec's Computerized Dynamic Posturography machine.  See the link below:
https://www.bertec.com/products/cdp-ivr

The CDP really helped me.  The link has photos and a video.

But again, the Alter G looks interesting.
Burning Tongue, Loss of Hearing & Balance, and Tinnitus led to MRI. Very small AN found on 11/23/2021
While watching and waiting, lost significant hearing. WRS now at 12% (down from 100%). Was fitted with CROS system on 3/7/22.  Stable MRI on 7/29/22
No treatment yet.
