Tinnitus BETTER! Goes down up to 2 days a week, sometimes 3.

I had my "Stereotactic Radiation Surgery" on May 18, 19, 20th. I FINALLY have something good to report though I am totally aware that all side effects take MONTHS to show up, right? My main doctor says 100% of my hearing in right ear will be GONE in 1 year to 1 1/2 years and no hearing aid will help. The nausea/vomiting finally subsided and I've been to the gym 3 times. Still have bouts of shortness of breath occasionally but EKG, Echo, all tests normal. BP still high but fluctuates.

Now the good news. After 4 years of not being able to sleep due to the screeching tinnitus, I am not waking up at 4 am and having to put white noise on for hours to go back to sleep. My dentist made me a splint and adjusted it. If I wear the splint every night for 7 days the tinnitus starts to roar. But then when I take it out the tinnitus goes down! Sometimes 2-3 days. This has lifted my spirits dramatically but will it continue? Maybe get even better? Maybe go away and let me have my life back?

Great News!

My last CK radiation was April 26, no side effects except fatigue so far.

I had a hearing test done yesterday, the AN ear has diminished some, but not drastically. The Dr did increase the hearing aid volume for that ear.

I forgot to add Balance is a real  problem... I use a walker when outside of our apartment; but I have other health issues that cause balance problems also

bjhk----Funny you should mention balance. I woke up this morning and turned suddenly to right. I became horribly dizzy for 5-10 seconds. I thought it was a start of another Vertigo episode which I have not had since 2-1-2021. Balance off all day today. I'm supposed to go for MRI in August.

Big Joe melatonin (prescribed) helped me with tinnitus. I take compounded troches at the moment I pop 2mg under tongue at 10pm bedtime. Google melatonin and tinnitus it reduces brain inflammation helps with sleep. I dont buy over Internet its regulated here in Australia. You could try Circadin which is slow release. I have been on for two years since my CK radiation with my specialists approval.
