Success!

I just had my 5-years post surgery MRI. (Middle fossa with Dr. Marlan Hansen at the University of Iowa.)  It showed no tumor so I am in the clear.  No more follow ups.  Just live life.

Thanks to everyone on these forums who has helped me over the last five years!

Vestibular Schwannoma 1.2 cm. Right side.
Middle fossa surgery at University of Iowa on May 9 2016.
Hearing saved.  Face is fine. Balance pretty darn good most days.
One year follow up MRI showed no tumor. 
Five year follow up showed no tumor, so I'm in the clear.

Congratulations! So inspirational to hear!!!  I'm just starting my journey 1.3cm with Mid Fossa happening June 1st at UCSD.  Again congrats!!!

Congratulations!

Did you have surgery due to NF2 or NF1? Are you having any impairments like hearing, balance issue or something?

No NF2 for me, just regular old AN. My balance is very good. very mild hearing loss that I don't really notice and pretty mild tinnitus. So I got pretty lucky.
