Trying to go from MA to Cali
« on: August 18, 2018, 12:07:28 pm »
Looking for anyone to recommend an insurance that will allow me to have surgery with Friedman and Schwartz. I’m in touch with their office getting help but it seems as though MA is limited in the insurances it offers to small group employers -my husband carries our insurance and is self employed- just trying to see what insurance a MA resident used to get out to UCSD

THANK YOU
Catherine

I strongly considered traveling to UCSD for my surgery this summer, but I decided I wanted to stay closer to home.  Dr. Heilman (assisted by Dr. Sillman) at Tufts Medical Center in Boston were wonderful.  Tumor removed, no damage to facial nerve, participating in large family get-together 10 days after retrosigmoid surgery - couldn't have gone smoother.

Sorry I did not answer your immediate question.  Sue
Diagnosed with 1.3 x 1.2 x 1.3 mm right side AN – September 2013; Gamma Knife at UPMC July 2014; Retrosigmoid surgery at Tufts Medical Center June 2018 to remove 2.0 x 1.8 mm tumor
