"genome editing" possible in the future?
« on: April 29, 2018, 09:21:48 am »
CIBIO, the Centre for Integrative Biology of the University of Trento (Italy), has found a way to develop a precision "genome editing" tool that only targets a specific site of DNA that needs to be removed.

This way it should be possible to use "genome editing" to correct sequences of genes, for example in case of genetic disorders.

The study has been published in “Nature Biotechnology” (2018)
