DVT
« on: September 12, 2017, 02:47:26 pm »
Hello All,

I was diagnosed with a DVT today for a blood clot in my left leg. I was curious if anyone else has had this? I am fairly active when it comes to working out.

Thanks,

Willbur

Hi Willbur, great to see you back on the forum. Can't answer your question, but I'm interested in how your facial paralysis is coming along.

That's great. Given the situation just after surgery, that is great to hear.

Clot traveled to my lungs. Hopefully I don't die.

I hope your DVT resolves. Was the DVT as a result of the surgery, or unrelated to the surgery?

Aren't sure yet. I'm out of the hospital now and have to follow up with a hematologist next week to try and find the root cause of it.

I recall seeing a very small amount of posts about DVT on this forum.  You may want to use the search function to find some.  I think it is one of those complications to surgery that happen very rarely, like <1%, and not specific to AN.  Sorry you have to deal with it.  Here's hoping it all works out, keep us posted.
Dx 2.6 cm Nov 2012, 35% hearing loss.  Grew to 3.5 cm Oct 2013.  Pre-op total hearing loss, left side tongue numb.  Translab Nov 2013 House Clinic.  Post-op no permanent facial or other issues.  Tongue much improved.  Great result!!
