Burning Lips
« on: July 13, 2016, 08:13:43 pm »
I am 7 months post-op after resection of AN via middle fossa approach.  Over the last 3-4 weeks I have experienced intermittent burning lips and tip of tongue.  Have  others experience similar symptoms.

I am sorry you have these symptoms. I have not had this happen but think others have. Probably the nerve healing.

I have had the twitching by the nasolabial fold, eye twitch, salt and metal taste in mouth, profusely watering eye only when eating, dry eye, headaches, intermittent icepick pain in head, and a pulling sensation in my cheek. All happened at different times in the last 7 months after surgery.

I wish there was a guidebook of all the possible symptoms and a possible timeline.

I wish you well. This whole process is no fun.

I am post gamma knife 7 months and have now developed a burning lip sensation. Also for the past few months I have had eye twitching especially when I am eating! I feel better knowing that others have experienced such symptoms and am not alone. Hopefully this will resolve in time.
