Facial twitching 12 years later.
« on: July 04, 2016, 07:52:40 am »
I had an an removed in 2004. I have  had multiple MRIs latest 3 years ago.  The AN was 3 cm so it impacted my facial nerve.
I  am getting better and even have been told it continues to look better. I was 100 perc paralyzed on that side post surgery .
I am having spasms/twitching again. Which I choose to believe is healing continued..
I also have the trigeminal nerve pain which I have fought for years post AN. Stress brings it on. I take imitrex as needed when it gets reallly bad but won't do any other drugs since one caused my white blood cells to tank landing me at an oncologist checking for leukemia 3 years ago.) ANyway, anyone else still get the twitches? Just curious.
Thanks All.

Yes! 8 years post op of a golf ball sized AN. My face will randomly twitch. That side of my face also randomly cramps up. I also choose to believe that the twitches and cramps are signs of healing. I hope you continue to heal and regain motion.
