No taste
« on: April 18, 2016, 01:39:56 pm »
After my AN removal 2 months ago, I have right side face paralysis (slowly coming back), and as a result have no taste on the right side. Any experience of this returning? My Dr said if it did come back, it would most likely not be 100%, but I'd take 10% right now :)

Can you smell the foods?

Your sense of taste hopefully will come back to some degree. I have a very salty taste in my mouth that comes and goes. I can no longer stand the taste of tortilla chips and many breads. They taste/feel like cardboard. My surgery was a few months ago. Just try new foods and flavors and maybe you will hit upon something that has a taste. Just give your body some time. The nerves should regenerate albeit very slowly (months).
