I got the good results yesterday.  There is no growth and no swelling.  I do realize that this is only 3 months but I'll take the news!  Patti
4 cm AN removed 12/2000
subsequent brain swelling
removal of part of cerebellum
face, scalp, tongue numbness and partial paralysis
no corneal sensation and no tears-frequent eye issues
cognitive issues
Regrowth (3.1 x ..86 cm) treated by SRS on November 6, 2015

Congratulations!  Good news is good news.

Is a three month MRI standard for SRS? What kind of treatment was it you had?
Diagnosed 1/15/16
Left Side, 5x3x4 mm, 1 mm from cochlea
High frequency hearing loss (still useful), tinnitus
Three fraction CK at Stanford completed 3/25/16

It's so odd of me not to have the details at the tip of my fingers.  When we found the re-growth we went straight to my previous neurosurgeon and he set me up with a radiation-oncologist he trusted. I think it was photon radiation delivered by a linear accelerator.  I don't know why I had to have imaging done at 3 months.  I thought 6 months was the norm.  I never asked.  Patti

Congratulations, Patti, that is really good news.

I had a 2.7cm AN removed 12 days ago (retrosigmoid) and the neurosurgeon James Liu (university hospital newark NJ) would like a 3 month MRI- he says it's standard for the type of surgery he does.

So far, so good. walking well, just slight dizziness, no nausea, no headaches, no facial issues, only sad thing for me is the left sided deafness- but I'm happy with how everything else has turned out.

Peace!
