First MRI post GK
« on: November 02, 2015, 10:30:06 am »
6 months after GK treatment, I had my first postie-toastie MRI  8)

Obviously, I was stressed... Even if my symptoms disappeared 2-3 months after GK, even if I feel really good.

Well, the result is encouraging – George's size is still same, but he suffers  ;D
There is a quite important necrosis in the centre of the tumour, and that is exactly the desired outcome.

Next control will be in 6 months, if everything continues as for now.

I am happy to share this news with you, as I know how important it is for new-diagnosed people to see some good results and have some encouraging news.

I'm glad you feel "really good," and WOW your symptoms disappeared?
May I ask what they were?

Bye bye, George! (good riddance)

Hello Sunny,

Thanks for you support.

I have a trigeminal schwanomma, which is very rare, and very similar to an AN, size 19mm. And it doesn't affect my hearing. My symptoms were quite strong tingle on the left side of my face, but no pain, and no other problems. As the toumour is partly necrosed, it makes less pression on the trigeminal nerve.

Hello,

Here I am for one-year follow-up.
I had my 2nd MRI after the procedure, and everything seems to be ok - less necrosis than last time, but no change in size.

Next MRI in one year  8)

Hello,
Here I am for two years follow-up: the tumor looks the same size as before, maybe 1mm smaller, but it makes less pressure on the tissues around.
So far, so good!
Next control in one year.
:)
