kinesiology taping
« on: March 15, 2015, 09:43:42 pm »
Dear friends,
I was wondering if the kinesiology taping, a technique used in sports medicine, could be useful to correct the asymmetry of my lower lip or for the platysma.
After two years of my surgery I still have a deeper nose-labial fold on my weaker side and sometimes the platysma muscle pops out.
I googled a lot but I could find just few pictures.
Any input is  very welcome.

I have not heard of kinesiology taping for the face. I believe I used it for my knee years ago. I don't see how this might be useful, as it would just temporarily hold the skin in position. It sounds like you might benefit more from Botox in your neck, and stretching exercises for both the nasolabial fold and your platysma. (But honestly it sounds like you are doing quite well!)
2.7 cm meningioma in CPA and IAC
Retrosig June 2013 resulted in Facial paralysis and SSD
6-mo post-op MRI showed 1.0 cm remains in IAC
3-yr MRI still shows no new growth!
6/2014 Baha magnet implanted; 8/2014 magnet removed due to poor healing; 9/2014 abutment installed. Hearing fine!
