Hi Linda,  You will be home and happy by the holidays.  Christmas will be especially wonderful for you.   I will be thinking of you.  Hang in there.  Savor your time and visits with family.  Calm will envelope you.

My surgery was Dec 15 and I was very happy to be home and with my family for Christmas.

You will surely get to meet Amylynn! I met a woman, a fellow sailor,  thru this forum (the old AN Listserve), who had her surgery a week before mine--I had dinner with her in the cafeteria at St Vincents the two nights before my surgery. She had just had hers and was doing so well, it really boosted my confidence.  We are still good friends and she has visited me here in NC.  You will meet quite a few AN patients at Seton Hall. Good Luck, Linda, you are in great hands!

Amylynn-be sure to give those two docs a big hug from me!!!  Esp Doctor Hits--he's quite big and huggable.  Dr Friedman is so cute it's almost intimidating! He's totally brilliant and approachable, though, and has a great sense of humor.

Hi Linda and Amylynn,

You both are going to be in such good hands! I am so happy for the both of you. You will meet many other patients with AN's if you stay at Seton Hall during your recovery. Like Captain Deb, I have met people that are now life time friends. The experience will change you for the better! You both will be in my thoughts and prayers, please keep us posted on your progress.  Ann

Hopefully someone can give us updates!!  amylynn:  Will someone be able to keep us posted on your immediate post-op?  And Linda, because your husband won't touch the computer, maybe amylynn can let us know when you are out of surgery??

I am very excited for you both.  It won't be long now and the world will have two less ANs in it.

Yep, the 26th.  I appreciate it.  Drive safe.  Have a great time visiting your relatives. My family will be over Sunday for a big pot of red sauce, pasta and meatballs.  I am planning a feast.  My baby nephew laughed for the first time today, I heard it over the phone.  Soooooo cute, will be seeing him for sure.

Thanks to all you wenches for the cheers and prayers!

Do you think they have a place to go to confession at St. Vincent hospital ?
