Facial question

My husband is 13 weeks post op.
He told me the other day that he had this sensation on the side of his head/face (paralysis side) that felt like his skin was crawling. Is this a good sign?
So far he has not seen any movement or improvement but gets that crawling sensation every once in a while.
I have no idea what to tell him and the surgeons really don't have a clue from what we can gather in regards to the paralysis.
Just trying to give him a glimmer of hope if I can

The sensation may be a good sign, but who knows at such a short time from surgery? Yes, to most people 13 weeks seems like a long time, but in terms of cranial nerve recovery, it is not long at all. While I did not have facial paralysis, I did have vocal cord and swallowing muscle paralysis/paresis. It took me eight months to begin to see any improvement in my voice and swallowing and I was still improving gradually at 13 months. I am close to normal at almost 30 months from surgery. Patience is required. Good luck.

I had that sensation, like a "can of worms" under the skin, just prior to seeing movement. First, next to my nose, then at the corner of my mouth, then further out. I think it's the sensation caused by regrowth of the nerve, and it is generally (but not guaranteed to be) a good sign.
