Use the search feature in the upper right hand corner of the page.

The MRI is not of the neck as mentioned before.       That would have to be a separate one.          I also will add that it is possibly not even related to an AN and could be a whole different cause.     Neck related possibly due to disc, muscle spasms etc.    Blood vessel related which the MRI would not show.        This could even be 2 issues one has with AN and the other unrelated issue.       Upper spinal tumor even which some of us can have who have NF2.          So if could be that your specific issue might have not happened to those who have ANs.                      I know it is hard when wants to know if someone has had the same issue and what they have had happen with it.              A neurologist might have some answers for you and not an GP or ENT.                 it is frustrating to have drs be not sure and one has to make a round of drs and tests to find out for sure.                         I hope you do find out in time.                Cheryl R

Thanks for the reply Cheryl, I think you misread my thread. The pain is at the base of the skull deep into and towards the brainstem right where I had my surgery, a very tender annoying sick feeling pain that feels much like it did following surgery 16 years ago. It is not on the spine or in the neck, it is base of skull in the original tumor area.

Also regarding mri most and all of the mris that I have had over a 16 year period always included the neck and brain and brain stem as they should to be certain of the effect the tumor may be having on the entire region. They do not however do the entire spine unless they suspect nf2
